TARA Womens' Retreat 2007
It is hard to describe how powerful the 7th annual Women’s Retreat at Red Mountain Spa was for all the women who attended so I’ll let them comment for themselves:
“This year’s retreat was a time to connect with amazing women – to feel the love and support of old friends and new friends. This retreat was a great combination of focused agenda items such as creating a vision for your future with enough time to just relax and have fun. I would go anywhere Tara planned a retreat and I plan to make going a priority every year.”

“The support, depth and connection between the women was heart warming. Tara did a beautiful job facilitating. And, not to mention, the fun of hiking and being in the magic of Red Mountain Spa. It was the best yet.”
Loma Alexander
“Tara's 2007 spa retreat for professional women was a delightful time for me to share common life challenges, experience some gorgeous and challenging hikes, and most importantly bond with some amazing women. My two days away felt like two weeks; I returned refreshed and energized. Tara's staff orchestrated all of the details perfectly and overall it was a great experience.”

Each retreat is a dynamic networking event on a professional level. But there is a hidden agenda. The secret agenda is revealed in the profound impact of women coming together to share time together. We share our stories; our personal challenges, our struggle to keep a balance between personal and profession; we confess our self criticism and high expectations; we share our hopes and dreams and our vision for the future. We laugh, we cry, we hike, we rest…and all of it is savored and absorbed in every cell of our being.
Being at Red Mountain was so awesome. I chose it because of its strength as an Adventure Spa. I have been there several times. We have our aromatherapy program at the Sage Spa, and I’ve also given lectures on Aromatherapy and Ayurveda to Dr. Pam Peeke’s Retreats which are held there. Each time I return to Red Mountain, I grow to love it more. It has become one of my top favorites.
I love to spend time in nature and I find it easier and quicker to realign my energy physically, emotionally, spiritually when I am being active in nature. So what better place than Red Mountain in St. George, Utah, where all you need to do is walk out your door and you are in spectacular red rock country.
We bonded on our hikes, during lunch and under the evening stars. What’s so great is that these women now share a deeper connection. They will call on each other for troubleshooting challenges at their spa, they will call on each other to brainstorm new ideas, they will call on each other to play some more.
Each retreat is part of the continuum from the one before. We grow together in more ways than you can fathom. I don’t think we’ve ever had a retreat that someone didn’t walk away from profoundly changed, and anticipating the next one!
Coming together is the magic. By giving each other an opportunity to be authentic, real, truthful…we opened to such a deep connection with one another and what a gift that was. It’s where the creativity, compassion, fulfillment, joy and passion abound.
I hope you will join us in 2008.
